Castelli has long been chasing the perfect ultralight short for hot weather rides, and the Superleggera is their lightest yet at only 141g. Where most bibs use a knit fabric, Castelli developed an ultralight gradient woven textile, which is most robust near the insert to keep it in place and lightest near the hem for maximum breathability. Castelli designed the Superleggera to be every bit as comfortable as their other race bibs with the same mesh bib construction as the Free Aero Race 4 Bibs. A Progetto X2 Air insert reduces friction in the saddle with its seamless upper and helps keep you cool with the perforated cushion layer.
